ActionTO is a grassroots civic organization working to make Toronto’s government more accountable, more representative, and more responsive to the people who live here.

Toronto is one of the most diverse cities in the world, but too many decisions are still made through structures that feel distant, slow, and disconnected from everyday residents. ActionTO exists to push for practical reforms that bring decision-making closer to communities and make City Hall work better for the people it serves.

We are focused on three priorities:

More accountable local government
Toronto needs institutions that are easier to understand, easier to access, and easier to hold accountable.

Stronger community-level decision-making
Residents should have a clearer voice in the decisions that shape their neighbourhoods, services, streets, housing, and public spaces.

A City Hall that reflects Toronto
The people making decisions for Toronto should better reflect the people who live, work, build, commute, and raise families here.
